Map to the Lab Site
Generally, the NCSU Astronomy lab site is closed to the general public. However, we do schedule open houses twice a year. This is a map of how to get to the site.
View Larger MapEssentially, turn west onto Reedy Creek Rd. off of Blue Ridge Rd., at the intersection of the entrance to the NC Art Museum. Cross over the intersection at Edwards Mill Rd (or turn west onto Reedy Creek from Edwards Mill if you're already on it). Go about 1/4 mile, and you'll see an open gate on your right. This gate leads to a dirt road, and is the entrance for the NC State equine facilities (please limit your speed to 15 mph so as not to spook the horses). Our observatory is at the end of this dirt road, only about 1/10 of a mile down.
