John M. Blondin

John M. Blondin

John Blondin is an Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor of Physics at North Carolina State University. He has served as the Head of the Department of Physics, the Dean of the College of Sciences, and many other college administrative roles. As of September 2024, he is back to simply a Professor of Physics. He grew up in Wisconsin where his dad flooded the backyard every winter - hence John's addiction to hockey. He met his wife, Pam, at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society (how geeky is that?) and eventually settled in North Carolina where they raised their three children, Sam, Jack, and Emma. On the first friday of each month you will find him serving refreshments at Pam's downtown store, Deco Raleigh.
